PARKINSON'S DISEASE
Researchers in Leeds suggest Parkinson's could be due to a virus which enters
the central nervous system through the nose (up to 90 per cent of Parkinson's
patients lose their sense of smell). Studies in mice show viruses introduced
through the nose spread rapidly in the brain.
